Marisol Espinoza Cruz, Vice President of the Republic of Peru, is the winner of 2015 - 16 Global Alumni Service to Humanity Zone 23B and 23C, nominated by Rotary 4455. She was a Group
Study Exchange Student from Peru.

Marisol Espinoza Cruz was a 2000-2001 Group Study Exchange team member from Peru. She is the Global Alumni Service to Humanity Zone 23B and 23C winner, nominated by Rotary 4455. Read more about her service accomplishments:
Marisol Espinoza Cruz was born in the northern region of Piura, Peru. She is a journalist, lawyer, and the First Vice President of the Republic of Peru and Congresswoman of the Republic of the Piura Region for the 2011-2016 parliamentary term. In 2006-11, she was Congresswoman of the Republic.

Since 2000, Marisol Espinoza has been collaborating on the development of organic agriculture in the Piura region, developing activities to promote coffee, cacao, and organic bananas from small producers. In the Awajun forest communities of Peru, they have achieved the award for best native cacao in the Salon du Chocolat in Paris.
Marisol Espinoza’s work for the defense of human rights, support for agriculture and the environment, and her attention to the needs of indigenous peoples, is reflected in each of her addresses to the House of Congress and the media.
She is currently the president of the board of ‘Virtual Educa’, an initiative of the Organization of American States (OAS), which promotes of quality education by promoting the "No child out of school, no school without technology" initiative (Ningún niño sin escuela, ninguna escuela sin conectividad).
