JERUSALEM ROTARY CLUB LAUNCHES MIDDLE EASY YOUTH PEACE EDUCATION INITIATIVE -REQUESTING YOUR SUPPORT

JERUSALEM ROTARY CLUB LAUNCHES MIDDLE EASY YOUTH PEACE EDUCATION INITIATIVE -REQUESTING YOUR SUPPORT, mobilize financial support for the Rotary Peace Project described below.

Dear friends,

Our shared commitment to Rotary is built on our solid & unshakable foundation values - specifically the promotion of understanding, goodwill & peace.

I live in in Jerusalem in one most turbulent conflict zones in the world - the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.

To date, it has been difficult for Rotarians in our region to design & implement s Rotary Peace Project initiative in Israel & the Middle East.

There has been little opportunity for Rotarians worldwide to support a Rotary initiated project in the region.

I am glad to announce what I feel will be a very successful, flagship, sustainable, youth-oriented peace education project that will move us in the positive direction of conflict resolution through Rotary initiated service.

One reason I am very confident in the high probability of future success of the proposed Rotary project is the capacity of all those involved from our Peace Fellow alum Arik Gutler-Ofir to our Club Internation Services Chair, Dr Dan Shanit, who has implemented successful peace project as a senior official at the Peres Peace Center. and an outstanding.

Both Arik and Dan have strong records of accomplishment as peace builders.

They will also be working with a successful cooperating organization, Manor- Cabri, again with a record of outstanding peace building accomplishments in the region for over 30 years.

I am calling on you to lend a hand on this Middle East youth leadership oriented project- Please:

1. Read the brief project description attached written by Dan & published in today's Jerusalem Rotary Club bulletin;

2. Raise questions, concerns, and expressions of interest to Dan:

danshanit@gmail.com

3. Share this email with Rotarian senior leadership who you feel would be interested;

4. Consider getting involved in and continue to learn about progress in project design, implementation and follow up monitoring & evaluation; and

5. Consider financial support from you, your foundation, your Club & District. I feel the more Rotarians, foundations, Clubs & Districts are aware & involved in this peace project the more likely we will succeed toward achieving our foundation peace mission here in the MENA region - one successful step at s time.

Thank you

Yours in Rotary Peace Service & Friendship

Mark
